One West Victory
This 112,000 SF mixed use, multi-family housing facility will fold approximately 338 student residents into the urban landscape. A pedestrian friendly design incorporates attractive green space, comfortable gathering spots and a residential population of students and affluent singles.
The two historic structures on site will be transformed into upscale amenity structures for the residents and will include both public dining and retail establishments. The One West Victory project incorporates numerous sustainable principles into all design components and will be completed in August 2014.
Situated on the boundary of Savannah’s Historic District, and in the midst of the Savannah College of Art and Design, the One West Victory site has lain fallow for nearly 20 years. Originally developed in the late 1800’s, the property was once home to the Savannah Ice Company, one of the oldest commercial ice companies in America. It is now home to two wonderfully aged buildings and the vision of an urban redevelopment that will act as the catalyst for collateral development in the surrounding neighborhood.
